mollie makes christmas (with a giveaway!)
I know it's only October, and I know that I've been talking pumpkins lately, but did you know that Mollie Makes magazine has a new Christmas book out today in the UK? They do! I haven't seen it all yet, but I'm really, really excited about it! The magazine has me head over heals, so I can only imagine what the book will do to me...
Oh, and guess what? I've got two projects in the book! Truth be told, when they asked me to make something for the book, I just as excited about knowing in advance that there would be such a book as I was at being included! (Not to mention, it gave me a good excuse to listen to some Sufjan Christmas music in the spring...) Here's a peek at one of my projects:

One of my favorite things about Christmas is spending time with extended family.
ReplyDeleteYay! I can't wait to get this book. My favorite thing about Christmas is the feeling of the entire season: you can't trim the tree, bake cookies, or wrap presents and be angry! Also, I love driving around and seeing Christmas lights! (When I was little I called them "Santa Claus houses.")

Family reunions, parties with friends, parties at school, parties at work... it's so nice to get to visit with loved ones and enjoy the holiday!! Everyone just seems to be happier at this time of year! And I am really excited *this* year, because my first grandchild is going to be old enough to really enjoy it! I can't wait to see her reaction to our Christmas tree, the pretty decorations and lights, and all those gifts!! Can't wait! :-)

ReplyDeleteHmmm, I love everything about Christmas, but my favorite is the handmade gifts my kids make for me. They are 22 and 24 now, but they still make me something and I love it!
There are too many things I love about Christmas, time with the family,cosy pyjamas, glorious food, I could go on and on but I think my favourite thing is the build up and making lots of fun things for family, friends and my home x.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about Christmas is having several days in a row without fixed schedules. We do some decorating and special cooking at Christmas, plus special events remembering the gift of Jesus, but keep things low-key and flexible, too.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about Christmas is PIE. I love making apple pies and being with my family, both immediate and extended. It seems few and far between I hear others that love their extended family.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite thing about Christmas is the food. I know I shouldn't say that - the answer should be family :) But, it's the only time of year we eat roast turkey and I adore it. I wish I lived in the US so we could have it at Thanksgiving too, but in Australia we don't celebrate that holiday.
