the fourth woodlanders embroidery pattern...

Yes, this is a post containing the April Woodlanders embroidery pattern. I have not stitched it yet, so there is no pretty picture of it. But I don't want others to wait on the pattern any longer, just because I'm behind on stitching.

So, download the pattern here, or in the sidebar.

And now, a few other bits about today:

oyster stitch

After all of your encouragement yesterday, I tried the oyster stitch! The diagram was easier for me to follow than the written instructions, but if you're going to do this, I say, check out both. It wasn't too difficult. Really!

The one thing I struggled with was connecting them. I don't really like how they came out when I tried to chain them. Perhaps with practice? Otherwise, they'll just be used individually.

Also, I somehow managed to get all of the baseball illustrations/patterns done. Whoa! In the end, I have a ball, bat, mitt, home plate, cap, pennant, foam finger, bag of peanuts, hot dog, and my personal favorite, "Ice Creeeaaam in a Helllllmuuuut!" (you have to say it that way...)

Yay for new things to work on!

  5. Those oyster stitches look good - probably it is just practise you need to make the chained version look the way you want it to!
