celebrate color: fall embroidery patterns!

Celebrate Color

Ready to Celebrate Color again this month? Celebrate Color is all about the wonderful shades that come out in fall, and it's a project started by Rachel of Stitched in Color (with the help of Emma Lamb, Shannon of LuvintheMommyhood, and me!).

In September, I shared some floss palettes that reminded me of fall. I started with those, and decided to continue from there with some patterns. This is not my usual way of doing things.

Usually, I have an idea for designs, then I find colors that I want for them, and finally I put it all together. It felt strange to work a little backwards, but also really good. It was more of a challenge, and it forced me to create differently. I highly recommend trying this, starting from a different place and seeing where it brings you. (In your stitching...and in other things!)

Celebrate Color Embroidery Patterns

This design was created to go along with the Autumn Brights palette, but this isn't all I made. I created a pattern for each of the five palettes, and they are all free for you to stitch!

In the pattern file, you'll find Leaves on the Sidewalk (to go with Leaves on the Sidewalk), Boo! (to go with Fall Festival), Gourd Friends (shown above), Ooh Fall! Latte (to go with Pumpkin Spice), and Harvest Time (to go with Harvest Time)

What can you use these patterns for? Lots of things! Starting with a few embroidered accessories for your table. But really...who needs an excuse to do some fall stitching?
