calendar: print and post for june

june desktop

See my neat and tidy computer desktop all ready for June? It's a lie. I cleaned it just for you. And if I had zoomed out, you would have seen my actual desk, which is downright frightening. Zoom out further and you'd see the room which surrounds my desk, which is scarier still.

The fact is, things get messy around here, and June is a very full, potentially very big month for me, so this space is likely to get messier. That's just how it is. At least my computer looks pretty!

Want to fancy up your screen? Grab a June calendar for your computer, iPhone or iPad, and soon you'll be smiling like the sunshine!

Prefer the analog method? Download the printable version, and tack it up on your bulletin board!

desktop: the 12 dancing princesses

Hello, March! I'm not entirely sure if I'm happy to see you so soon, but you will be filled with lovely things!

This month the story that you'll be seeing pop up a few times is The 12 Dancing Princesses. I LOVED this story when I was younger, so I'm really looking forward to working with it, and wait until you see the puppets that I have planned! Actually, the illustration here might give you a bit of a hint. Sort of.

The 12 Dancing Princesses got all dressed up each night, and your computer desktop can look pretty too. Download the PNG file or the JPG file (much larger file size), and when you make it your wallpaper, just be sure to set it to fill the screen.

And while I'm welcoming March, I'd like to welcome a bunch of new March sponsors! We'll more from them along the way, but for now you'll want check out these wonderful blogs.

Happy March, Dear Readers!

We are at the door of February. Yikes.

I cannot even begin to tell you how difficult it was to choose a story for this month. I kept thinking that it needed to be a love story, but nothing was really grabbing me. Liz suggested that I should do the Musicians of Bremen, and it was already one that I kept coming back to. And so, who needs a love story in February?! In some way, I suppose those dear animals probably loved each other like a family, so it works.

More about this story later, but for now, you can download the desktop calendar! It's a PNG that is extra large to fit any size monitor. Just set your background to fit it to screen.

desktop: january and the 3 bears

A story for January...
Welcome, January! I'm really quite excited about 2011, because of the stories that I plan on featuring here on the blog. Each month, a new story, with new ways to tell it. This month is Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, which you see here, and on the new header (it'll be changing each month...something new for me!).

You'll be hearing more about this story throughout the month, but for now, how about adding it to your desktop? Download January here.

Like in previous years, this one is a calendar. Unlike previous desktops, this is one size, and it's large. That means that when you add it to your computer, you'll need to tell the computer to have it fill the screen. And if this way of doing the desktop brings problems, I'll try another method. The thought (the hope?) is that this should fit more screens.

Oh, and I'll be moving a few things around here on the blog over the next few days, so if something you're looking for goes missing, it will probably be back again soon. Thanks for your patience with this!

Now, on to a great 2011!
