ten years of blogging...2400 posts
How often are you amazed by how much time has passed? These candles celebrated a 10th birthday at our house...nearly five years ago. It's hard to believe. What's even more difficult to imagine is that 10 years ago today, I started this little blog and it was nothing but silly rambles that kept me sane.
While blogging "experts" often suggest cleaning up your archives, I've kept all those odd posts because they are where I came from. And all of those posts add up to 2400 rambling, poorly-written, well-written, stitchy, crazy, creative posts. Having my blogiversary and my 2400th post land on the same day couldn't have been better planned if I had tried!
I've decided it needed a spontaneous giveaway for you, my dear readers who I truly care about.
So, 10 lucky winners will each receive a $24.00 Wild Olive Etsy shop credit. All you need to do to enter the Rafflecopter giveaway is leave a comment. You can tell me how you found my blog, ask me a question you've been dying to know, or simply say hello. Just be sure to use the Rafflecopter entry form. (If you're in a blog reader or reading via email, you'll need to hop over to the actual blog post.)
a Rafflecopter giveaway
The giveaway will be open through next Monday, July 7th. Good luck, and thank you so much for being part of my little blog family!

I stitched them up with batting, star fabric on the back and a ribbon tab, and I have the students clip them along a length of rope at the proper distances. I'll make sure to let everyone know where I found the cute planets :)

Hand embroidery started me on my crafting journey a few years back. Your wonderful blog continues to make me smile and inspire me. I love it and THANK YOU.
ReplyDeletecongratulations! you know what? i leave my old terrible posts in the archives too, just in case somebody might find them interesting or useful. they also come quite in handy for reminding myself how far I've come (and how far i need to go!).
ReplyDeleteCongrats! 10 years is a major accomplishment. Here's to 10 more!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the blogging anniversary, I am terrible at it so you are doing great!!
ReplyDeleteJAZZ HANDS TO YOU for 10 years! That's amazing and wonderful! I would love to know - what are your go-to sources for inspiration? Mollie outside of crafting - what are you reading? Enjoying?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the jazz hands! Sadly, I haven't finished a book in a while. But I keep picking them up, reading a bit, and then getting distracted by the next thing. Craft books fill my life most of the time! For an inspiration pick-me-up, I love looking at older craft books, and I find that giving myself some limits (for example a theme, or a particular method or material) will always get my creative juices flowing. And I'm still really enjoying EPP hexagons and catching some Netflix!
DeleteCongrats! I adore your site. I found it after searching for embroidery basics. Your Olive's face brought me right in! I have enjoyed a few Sewing Clubs as well. I wish you many more years of blogging!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I've been reading for so long, I don't really remember how I found your blog. It was way before pinterest was around.
ReplyDeleteI found you from, wait I can't remember. It's the fun part of getting old, everything is new to you. LOL I have joined two of your weekly embroidery subscriptions and loved every minute of it. I so enjoy coming and seeing what you have created day after day. And if your off line for more than a day I notice, and call out to blog land making sure you are OK. Thank you for always sharing regardless of what's going on, good or bad, happy or sad you always share honestly with us. Thanks for sharing a part of your world with us.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'm a relatively new reader, but I'm very excited for the 50 States Stitchalong. As a native Delawarean (living in Virginia), I was excited to see that the "Small Wonder" was up first!
ReplyDeleteI found your blog last fall through a Pinterest post and signed up right away. I've done 3 stitching clubs. You re-ignited my love of embroidery and I have loved your faith based posts. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI can't even remember how I found your blog, it was so long ago. Yours is my favorite style of embroidery! :)
