What could be more perfect for Book Month than some printable book plates? I designed these to be little, mini, in fact. They have the book from this month's calendar, and I think they are especially sweet.
The PDF is set up so you can type your name on the plates before you print them. Super long names may not fit, but most will. And if you have a super long name, or if you prefer a touch of extra handmade, you can simply skip the typing and write your name in by hand.
Mine are printed on paper and attached with double-sided tape, but spray mount would hold it on very nice. Even better would be to print these on full sheet sticker paper. I printed out a page with some for me and some for my sisters, because I always think customized book plates are a lovely gift, especially when paired with a book.
The first place my book plates are going are into my kraft paper sketch books. No, I won't be lending these out, but they look pretty and just in case I leave it behind, the people I know will know that it's mine. In case my sketches (of things to come!) don't give it away!
This mini book hasn't actually been started yet, so just look at all of those glorious blank pages to be drawn on! Blank pages are rarely intimidating to me (although breaking in a new sketch book can be), rather, I find them to be the thing that gets me drawing!

ReplyDeleteBut the real question is where do we get those kraft paper sketchbooks?! Because obviously we all need to put our own mini bookplates in kraft paper sketchbooks. (Is my love of kraft paper too much? Eh, I think not.)
