Mario Kart Embroidery Patterns

Mario Week continues with some embroidery. And some Mario Kart! My brother Max loves this game more than any other (so do I, which is why there will be another Mario Kart post later this week!), and he helped me choose and refine some embroidery patterns to share. These aren't just standard items though...like the cookies from yesterday, these come with Wild Olive style faces!

Mario Kart Embroidery Patterns

There are ten items in the pattern set, and they are all around 1-1/2 inches. What will you stitch them on? I'm thinking that I need to stitch them on a pocket or cuff for Max...or even some boxers! But they'd also make excellent magnets like these.

And while we're on Mario embroidery, Aileen sent me these photos of a quilt that her mom Linda is working on. A redwork Mario quilt? Sweet! She just looked up coloring pictures online and started stitching!

  8. While these are just adorable, I am so excited about something else. I have been looking and looking for the adorable hamster in the ball pattern I saw somewhere. I have looked everywhere and I thought I had looked here. My granddaughters are not allowed to have pets.....mom has allergies. But they somehow were allowed hamsters. They got one in the fall and it died even after three vet trips. So they got another. Then another for Christmas. Then a couple days aafter Christmas that one had 12 babies. All survived. They kept one. Now when you visit there are 3 little balls rolling around their house. My grandduahgter's birthday is the 8th and I wanted to make this for her. I asked a friend that had the magazine to send the pattern but she never did. When I found this today I was so excited. I can't wait to make it. Thanks.

    1. Thanks, Debby! I've actually made two hamsters that kind of go together. The first is in my shop (https://www.etsy.com/listing/65722069/hampstie-hamster-hand-embroidery-pattern) and the second was done for Mollie Makes magazine, which you can find here: http://www.molliemakes.com/projects/mollie-makes-issue-21-templates/

  12. What a coincidence- one of my favorite blogs doing a Mario Week! Since stitching a Raccoon Mario last fall, I've been flooding my Pinterest board with more Mario characters to stitch up. I've done a little sweet sentiment for my boyfriend...

And I'm currently working on a Frog Mario towel...

  13. P.S. In my Flickr set that those photos are in, you may recognize some Little Christmas Owls- I purchased the pattern from you in December and stitched some up as ornaments to give to my mom. She loved them!
