printable: the friendly beasts gift tags
Confession: at this moment, I kinda feel like this Craft a Song of Christmas series has been one big opportunity for me to talk about my favorite Christmas songs, and I'm kinda okay with that. Even with all of the songs I've already shared, there are still more favorites...after all, there's quite a canon of songs!
Today's song is more of a children's song, and I think it's absolutely the sweetest! The Friendly Beasts is about the animals in the stable and how they each helped or contributed on the first Christmas. Give a listen:
Sweet, right? Well, I made a little illustrated tag for each animal, perfect for labeling your gifts or adding a small note to a package. (I even used one for a mailing label!)
Maybe you're on top of things and already have your gifts wrapped, and don't really need these this year. Pin them for next time! Or, if you're like me, the wrapping hasn't even started and the gift making is still in progress. Now you're set to tag as you go!

Oh my, these are so adorable. Thank you very much for sharing. :')
ReplyDeleteDear Mollie, these are simply wonderful. Thank you so much. I have been enjoying checking out Sufjian Stevens. Hugs! Aileen
ReplyDeleteI love it! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteI love this song, and am so glad you posted this version for me to listen to! My favorite version is the Peter, Paul & Mary live version. We used to listen to that whole cd as we would put the tree up and decorate it. No matter how many other albums and singers we listen to during this time of year, it's not Christmas if we haven't heard that one CD at least 3 times all the way through!
ReplyDeleteThank you for these! I love them!
ReplyDeleteI used to sing this to my children, now adults, during the Christmas season. We had it in a Little Golden Book. The pictures were so sweet of the animals. My little ones would ask for it up to 12 times a day they loved it so much. The book had a lot more animals. After singing it so many times i am ashamed to say I can't remember them all though. I know there was a rooster and a camel also. Love the cards and I will be using them this year.
ReplyDeleteYou always think of the sweetest things!
ReplyDeleteHow do you print these labels?
ReplyDeleteI printed mine on regular card stock, but you could use full sheet label stock. They aren't a standard size, so you'll need to use the trim lines to cut them apart.
Deleteall of your crafts are incredibly cute how do you make the illustrations or pictures on all of your printables did you draw on them?? i'm really curios
ReplyDeleteThank you! I draw in Adobe Illustrator using a Bamboo tablet.
