embroidery: facile cécile style
Do you know what's amazing? That embroidery can be so many things and have so many styles. Although I feel like I've seen her work before, I recently came across the Facile Cécile blog, and am in love. Also, I'm a little be jealous of her lovely, lovely stitching.
But you see, that's just it. Her style is different from mine, and I'm okay with that. I'm also okay with being inspired to try some new kinds of stitches, materials and colors, because Cécile does it so well.
See what I mean? Stunning. And not only is the embroidery wonderful, but the little bags and pouches and buttons are just as original. And I've just shown a few of the embroidery photos from her blog...there's lots more where this came from!
Ah the details! Note to self: Take note of these details and look for ways to incorporate things like this into your work.
Head on over to this very sweet French blog and prepare to be inspired. Oh, and prepare to wish that you lived closer to her so you could take a class from her. I'm seriously wishing for that!

Beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous colours and so fresh and happy and bright. I too wish I lived closer, as I would love to learn how to embroider as beautifully and imaginatively as Cecile - and you, as well, Molly. I wish I could be a fraction as talented as you both are! I am not only inspired, but truly motivated. Thanks for sharing this, and have a lovely weekend. - June in Ireland
