spring embroidery floss colors

I love playing with embroidery floss colors, even if I'm not planning to stitch anything with them. It's fun and relaxing for me. It's been a few months since I shared some color combos here, and spring sounds like a good time to do that...so here are some freshly picked DMC embroidery floss color combinations chosen just for you!

Spring

The colors I was looking for were spring colors, and this was the first grouping I made...so it gets the very original title "Spring."

Decorated Eggs

Yes, we've passed by Easter now, but these colors reminded me of Easter eggs. Not the kind you dye, but the kind with extra little designs all over. So I've named this combo "Decorated Eggs."

Birds and Blossoms

One of my favorite things about spring is all the flowering trees. There are a lot in my neighborhood, so yay! These colors remind me of the "Birds and Blossoms."

Pansy

In the middle of light and bright colors, "Pansies" stand out with the bold purple in spring. These would be great for stitching up a whole field of tiny flowers!

Spring Sunrise

And finally, "Spring Sunrise." I'm not big on seeing the sun rise, but somehow I manage to pick a lot of color combinations that remind me of sunrises and sunsets. Hey...they're beautiful!

  9. I love your color combinations. Last week, I spent two days re-organizing my floss by color rather than by number. I hope this helps my creative side a bit.

    1. Really, the only problem I have with them is the time of day they show up. But I do wish I could see your village...I'd even get up early for those sunrises!
