Jessica from Funky Finds reminds us that even the closest of friends can be far away...and she's also got a giveaway for you and your best friend!
Aside from my hubby & mom, my best friend is Tamara. We met while working in college at a publishing company & she encouraged me to begin Funky Finds as a way to share all my 'finds' with others. Although we have lived 1,500 miles apart for the last two years, we have stayed in constant contact via email & near daily phone calls.
We also enjoy sending each other care packages filled with fun goodies we don't need, but that definitely put a smile on each other's face! Tamara loves Hello Kitty and I love to embroider. One package I sent her included this framed Hello Kitty image I adapted from a coloring page found online. I spray painted a frame I found at Goodwill and added some cute buttons to add some texture. I am currently working on another framed embroidery piece as a housewarming gift for Tamara & her new husband — but that's still a secret!

Technically my boyfriend is my best friend and we've been friends since we were 14 and 15 years old. That's when we began to date (those pictures are classic!) broke up a year later, remained friends for years, then got back together two years ago (we're edging our way to our 40s now). So between he and my best friend that I met because of him (she dated a boy at his same high school, so I friended her since she was new to our school)...that's 23 years! wow!

I met my bestie for the first time about four and a half years ago. She is married to my husbands friend so I met her when I was dating my husband. We hit it off right away and have so much in common (and differences too, that makes things fun right?). And it's also a bonus that our husbands are friends, so we get together a lot as families! My best friend I've known since second grade, we love crafting and create a project every time we're together! Embroidery is definitely one of our favorite things to do. :)
