the twelfth woodlanders desktop calendar...



Dude. How did we get to December already? This is the last that we'll see any of the Woodlanders on our desktops, and very soon the last embroidery pattern will come.

For December we have a Propitious Pine. You don't hear the word "propitious" too often, but I encourage you to look it up. I think it is quite appropriate for a little tree, willing to give itself up for Christmas.

And let me share why this word in particular was chosen. Because I like it. Why do I like it? Because I hear Kate Winslet saying it in Sense and Sensibility when she is reading the end of William Cowper's The Castaway. Good stuff, that.
