the story of: the august desktop

Happy Monday! Happy August! When a new month comes along, I get silly excited to show off the new desktop, and with it, announce a new story for the month. Yes, I know that's ridiculous, but there it is. So...without further ado...August's story is...

The Wind in the Willows! I've loved this story (collection of stories?) for so long, and was terribly sad when they removed Mr. Toad's Wild Ride from Disney World. (I love Winnie the Pooh too, but the ride just isn't the same for me.) I've watched and read many versions, but have never read the original book. Perhaps it's time...

Animals aren't always my thing when it comes to drawing, but I've been working on a new collection which will come to the shop soon. Mole, Toad, Rat and Badger are similar in style, so it's also kind of like a sneak peek!

Download the August calendar desktop in JPG or PNG format. It's one size fits all, so you'll just need to set your desktop to fill the screen for proper sizing.

And, and...The winner of the Share Day sponsor giveaway is Meg of Tripping Over Joy! Meg, please email me (molliejohanson[at]gmail[dot]com) with your address so we can get you your prizes!

  5. I just checked the movie out from the library today. And I didn't know they took the ride out! Did they take it out of Disneyland too??? I loved that one! Anyway, should be a cute theme this month!
