thankful stitching under the monday cloud

in the works...

Essentially, I work for myself. My workplace is my house, and the uniform around here is PJs. Because of that, it's rare that I have a true "Monday", for which I'm thankful.

And yet, I often go into a new week expecting to feel refreshed and ready to plough through a pile of projects. And it doesn't happen. Even when I have things I'm excited to work on, it's easy to think, "well...here we go again."

It kinda bugs me that I feel that way, even if it's normal.

I'd much rather always feel positive about my days, weeks, and months. However, I am positive that even the days when I'm just not feelin' it are days to be thankful. I may only be moving through things slllooooooowwwwwly on this day, but I'm thankful for getting to stitch a few stitches that will hopefully become something that nourish the soul.

So whether you're having a rough Monday, a so-so Tuesday, or a fantastic any day, look for something to be thankful for.

(PS: The letter waiting to be stitched in the photo above can be seen finished over at the Embroidery site on About.com!)

  1. Same here. The total commute is 30-40 steps. I get the same blahs. But there is the fact that I don't have to leave the house/wear street clothes/put on make-up/bathe if I don't want to do so! For these I am grateful!

    Okay, I usually bathe.
