A while back my mom found this lovely quilt (probably at my grandparents' house?) and gave it to me. Of course, I'm delighted with it! It's simple, but with some of the most charming prints, and it's too good to keep to myself.
Technically, you've seen it a bit before, since I used it as a backdrop for some photos. Like that one of me in the sidebar! That's the back of the quilt, and I love it so!
Speaking of the sidebar, I want to thank all of my current and recent sponsors! They make it so much easier for me to devote extra time to the projects you enjoy here. Here are those lovely folks:

Oh, and thanks to Darcy, who photo bombed that last pic! Crazy kitty...
That is a beautiful quilt. I love those old prints. You should do some embroidery patterns reminiscent of those depression-era prints. (hint hint - lol)
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness, what is up with the kitties photo bombing our posts. my last post i just uploaded has the same issue.... they are both cute kitties tho! love your blog!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a quilt very similar to that. My Great Aunt made it for me as a baby out of old flannel. Now I have passed it on to my daughter, who loves it just as much as I do. We stare at it and wonder what all those flannels used to be... men's pajamas, baby clothes, girls blankets...
ReplyDeleteI love that quilt! No one in my family is/was a quilter that I know of, but we do have a couple of small baby quilts...I love the feeling of them--that old, worn cotton...so cozy!
ReplyDeleteawww...Darcy. Searching for a little internet fame ;)
no quilt is complete without cat fur!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and darling quilt! Love the pinwheels!! A sweet treasure to have! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteToo bad so many people toss that stuff, not realizing how important that stuff actually is. Sad that people prefer upscale and/or expensive to "old fashioned" and fussy. As for Darcy, what kitty is not a "quality control officer" in the coziness department of quilting?
