up close and personal

I have learned that taking step-by-step photos often involves detail shots. After cropping my photos in close for a while now, this week I broke down and bought a macro lens. Now, I'm in close up heaven. It even makes dragon toys look pretty!

PS: It's thanks to you that I could justify treating myself to this! As in, I NEED it to take pictures so that my readers can make things!

  3. ooooh, you're a Nikon user! I've been researching cameras lately & had decided to get a Nikon, but then everyone (bloggers & friends) seems to have a Canon...so then I stalled...glad to know I'll be in good company with Nikon ;)

  6. My husband just got me this lense for Christmas! He got it so I could take some great close ups of my craft products so I can list them on etsy. So far I have just taken extreme close up shots of all my cats and my adorable nephew! I'll get around to product pics sooner or later. :)
