making a memory...with sewtara...

Hello, November! I'm really happy to see you, because you are my favorite. But, you certainly did come fast this year. Moving on...

Make A Memory

Remember how I told you about a little project that I was working on with Tara from Sew Tara? Well, it's all finished and we're ready to tell you about it!

Make A Memory

Tara had the wonderful idea of making a cloth memory game. Memory matching is such a simple idea that kids of all ages enjoy, and is definitely one that I remember fondly from my own childhood. Tara's idea was to create a PDF sewing pattern/tutorial and have each "card" have an embroidered design on it. So she contacted me.

I had the pleasure of drawing up all of the little patterns for the game, and making the PDF itself. Tara is a whiz on the sewing machine, so rest assured, all of the sewing instructions make sense and are easy to follow, unlike if I had done it!

You'll find the PDF in both Sew Tara's shop, and my own.

Make A Memory

This collaboration was so wonderful, and I'm so glad that Tara approached me with this! She was a joy to work with!

It was such a good experience that I hope to do more collaborating with her and others in the future. I'm sort of swamped with things right now, but if you have an idea that you would like to work on with me, please feel free to ask! We might just work well together...

  8. Amazing! I went to your shop and purchased the PDF immediately! lol. I've been looking for an embroidery project for my little niece for Christmas and this is absolutely perfect. I'm going to enjoy stitching them as much as she'll enjoy playing the game.
    Thank you! :)
