project: 4 no-sew felt pendants
Quick and easy projects are my favorites, and these are so quick and easy that you can make all 4 felt pendants in about 15 minutes! No sewing required! They use a Fiskars 1/8 inch hole punch, which I've always liked, but as of recently, has become one of the most used tools in my arsenal. At just $6 on Amazon, I highly recommend that you own one of these.
Here's what you need:
Wool felt
Simple chain necklace
Scissors
Hole punch
For this first one, cut a long rectangle with one wavy edge. Punch holes along one side. (Maybe make those a little more even than I did, mmmkay?)
Weave the chain through the holes, and you have a pendant that hangs straight across.
The second necklace starts with a skinny strip of felt (about 1/4 inch wide). Punch a hole about 1/2 inch in from the end, depending on how big your pendant is.
Tightly roll the opposite end of the strip and stick it through the little hole. It might seem like it won't fit, but it will!
Hang it on your necklace and you have a pendant that reminds me of a fish...or a support ribbon!
Pendant number three is similar to the last one. Start with a skinny strip. It can have a pointed end as shown, or a straight end. Punch a hole close to the opposite end.
Pull the pointed end through the hole until you have just a small loop left.
Add the pendant to your chain for a small pop of color.
This last one is my favorite. Cut out three (or more!) small felt rectangles. Fringe the bottom, and punch two small holes in the top corners.
Thread the tiny flags onto your necklace!
The best part about these is that they all use the same chain, so you can chance out the pendants easily!

Super cute Mollie! Love the colours
ReplyDeleteMollie,
ReplyDeleteWhat about pennant shaped ones? They could even be different colors such as rainbows or an ABC pattern. What do you think?
