a wee bit moldy...

For the upcoming Irish holiday, gold is a popular choice. Too popular perhaps. And so, may I present, the Pot O' Mold.

a wonderful night for oscar...

Oscar night is here, and it's the first time that I've not watched it in a long time. Life is busy, televisions are moved due to construction, and...I just didn't get that excited this year. Being a movie fan, that kind of depresses me.

illustration friday...gravity...

It seems like ages since I participated in Illustration Friday, but I thought it would be fun to get back to it once in a while. With the topic of "gravity" my illustration for "sorrow" came to mind. So I'm easing into IF by reworking my watercolor into a more digital illo.

oh my...felt monsters...

Wow. I've thought that needle felting looks like a fun project to try, but now that I've seen these felted monsters (via Currently), well I just about fell off my chair they're so cute. As if I need more craft supplies laying around. I still have this wool felt that I got for Christmas burning a hole in a craft bin. But when you're talking about little monsters, an exception will have to be made, and new tools and wool must be bought.

On an entirely different note, Blogger has just forced me to switch to the new Blogger. I've been trying not to do this, and I'm not sure why, but I think I'm afraid that my customized template will be messed up. Fingers crossed!

we girls can do anything...

As a child, Barbie taught me that we girls can do anything, and I believe it. I admire women for our ability to do anything we put out minds to. But I'm especially impressed by moms who work IN the home. The amazing work of women like Heidi, Amy, and Hillary, really inspires me. How do they accomplish so much with little people around the house? I'm not a mom, but my young siblings are around, and it can be a real challenge to find the time and energy to be creative and then actually put things together. Maybe I need to find a place to hide out and create...Hey, I can do anything, right Barbie?

the last chocolate in the box...

It's so sad when you're the last chocolate in the box. You know, the one that someone poked or took a nibble of, only to discover that they don't like your filling? So very sad. To celebrate the upcoming holiday, I bring you The Chocolate That Nobody Wants valentines. Just download the PDF, print on cardstock, trim and share!
