Autumn Stitching Club
What's Autumn Stitching Club? Simply put, it's a chance to stitch along through the season, creating a project that incorporates embroidery and hexagons.
If you've never embroidered before, why not start now? The patterns in the club are small and simple, giving you the chance to ease in. Each can be done with just a few basic stitches, or you can choose to enhance them with fills or other techniques.
If you've never made paper-pieced hexagons before, this is a great opportunity to learn a new craft. They're easy, portable, and highly addictive. If you're already a hexagon machine, you'll love this no-pressure project that comes in bite-sized pieces.
Each week in September, October, and November, club members will receive a tiny pattern of a fall favorite. There are no holidays here, just things that signal the start of autumn, my favorite time of the year. Without giving anything away, you'll get yummy fall foods (a Wild Olive staple!), pumpkin farm finds, and a harvest of good things.
The patterns will go on hexagons, which, together with non-embroidered hexies, will be appliqued onto a pillow/cushion cover. Of course, you can make anything you want, but if you follow the Autumn Stitching Club project, by the end of the season, you'll have a project to remember this time! Also, the patterns are the same basic size as those from Summer, so if you choose to make another mini quilt or combine them all, you can do so with ease.
Best of all, in addition to the patterns and project, participating in the Autumn Stitching Club will connect you with other stitchers. Community stitching, even from a distance, is pretty amazing.
When you purchase your club membership, you'll be able to download the welcome PDF immediately. In that PDF you'll find the complete supply list and project layout. Each pattern PDF will be emailed to club members on Mondays, starting September 2nd.
2013 Autumn Stitching Club is just $8.00.
Within 24 hours of registration you'll receive an email with all of the patterns you've missed.
Missed Summer Stitching Club? You can still join and get all of the patterns and instructions!

ReplyDeleteYay!!! I'm still playing catch up on the summer series but having so much fun!! I too LOVE Autumn!
ReplyDeletePerfect timing! I'm going on a quilting shop hop this Saturday, so it'll be the perfect time to pick fabric :) It'll be nice to match thread to fabric rather than visa versa.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time, ouch! I'm three hexis and all the joining behind on my summer quilt :(
What charm pack is this Mollie!!??
ReplyDeleteIt's Moda Posh Pumpkins in the mini size
DeleteI'm signed up. :) I guess I need to get caught up on the Summer Stitching Club now!
ReplyDeleteYay! Let the stitching continue. Signed up and now I need to select my fabrics.
ReplyDeleteHi Mollie! If I'm new to stitching would I be able to complete the Autumn stitching club or should I look to start elsewhere?
ReplyDeleteYou should be able to learn along. For all of the embroidery patterns, I use three stitches total: back stitch, french knots, and a scallop (like a lazy daisy). All are in my Embroidery Basics section. And any time you need help (whether you're in the club or not), I'm very happy to help you out or answer any questions!
DeleteWow sounds great! I'll definitely be signing up :) Thanks!
DeleteSO excited! I've always wanted to do a little stitch along like this, and I was too busy to even *think* of joining the summer one, lol! Looking forward to learning about hexies too, they look so fun! :)
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to this Autumn Stitch Club even though it is going to be 'Spring' here in EC.
ReplyDeleteReady and waiting and wish you would sell little stacks of that material. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe fabric isn't available everywhere, but if you do a Google search for "posh pumpkins mini charm pack", you should be able to order it. It's really a nice little collection, and perfectly sized for this project!
