make art a part

Basic Visual Concepts
Today I pulled out an old book that I used in one of my early graphic design classes. It's called Basic Visual Concepts and Principles, it's one of those books that you can judge by its cover (Read: this is a rather dull book). The reason I pulled it out is because I started forming an idea for a person project, which came out of a request from Kaitlyn of isavirtue.

On August 4th, Kaitlyn is releasing an e-course called Make Art a Part (of your life), and she asked me to contribute a piece on embroidery as an art form. I was delighted! And what I love is that in working on this, it's getting me thinking in new ways. I'd call this e-course a success already!

As for this personal project, you'll be seeing more along the way here. I have so much stitching to do right now, but I'm so excited about about this idea that I'll have to make time!

ps: there's still time to leave a comment and send an encouraging note to World Vision Caregivers!
