let's draw cute animals
I bet I got you with that title, huh? You thought that I'd be drawing cute animals with you, but guess what? I have a really hard time drawing cute animals! Every once in a while, I get a good one, but usually my animal drawings are terrible.
So I was excited about this book I found at the library for two reasons: 1) I might just learn how to draw cute animals, and 2) this book is way cute for just looking through! Take a peek:
(This page is almost funny...like you'd need help to enjoy this book!)
Isn't it adorable? And you didn't even see the capybara! I wish I could show you every single page, but you'll have to get a copy for yourself. Or maybe you're lucky like me and your library has it! Sachiko Umoto also wrote books on drawing plants & creatures, and happy people. (My library doesn't have those, so I might just NEED them...)
Oh, and just so you can see what I was able to learn from this so far, here's a little mole.
Cute? Well, certainly better than I might have drawn before this book!

I love these books. I bought them for my daughter, or that is the excuse I used. They are so simple and lovely. There is another book that I ordered recently and it is very fun, drawing with colored pens.
