winter stitching club

As the weather gets colder (and living near Chicago, believe me...it gets COLD!), I start thinking about spending time stitching near a warm fire. This winter, I invite you to join me in this tradition by joining the Winter Stitching Club!

Each Monday in December, January and February club members will receive a new tiny pattern to stitch, make into a quilted hexagon, and then combine them all into a snowflake-shaped table mat! Have a busy December? Don't worry! Each week's pattern is quick to stitch or catch up on when things calm down in January.

The patterns will be a surprise, but you can expect to see some snowy things, items to keep you warm, and even a few friends that you might spot in the snow! The designs are not holiday related, but are simply some of my favorite winter things.

Winter Stitching Club is Coming Soon!

Previous Seasonal Stitching Clubs have used English paper piecing, but this time around we're doing something a little different...but that still uses hexagons! For this Winter Stitching Club, we'll make quilted hexagons. They're great because each hexagon is self-contained, which makes it even easier to put together at the end. (If you want to still use English paper piecing, the patterns remain the same size as in previous clubs!)

When you purchase your club membership, you'll be able to download the welcome PDF immediately. In that PDF you'll find the complete supply list, plus instructions for making quilted hexagons. Each pattern PDF will be emailed to club members on Mondays, starting December 2nd.

The price for Seasonal Stitching Clubs is just $8.00.

  1. I was wondering if there is anything holiday/religious themed in the hexagons in December.

    2. The colors look all right... I think it should be fine. As an aside, My daughter is absolutely convinced that the 3 inch hoop must be hers, since it's so much smaller than my other. Thanks, can't wait 'till the second!

    1. I'm using Sulky Sticky Solvy, which is printable, but also very easy to trace onto with a pencil. The best part is that it's easy to see when stitching on the linen. You can find it on Amazon and I'm sure you'll use it a lot!
