ten years of blogging...2400 posts

ten...

How often are you amazed by how much time has passed? These candles celebrated a 10th birthday at our house...nearly five years ago. It's hard to believe. What's even more difficult to imagine is that 10 years ago today, I started this little blog and it was nothing but silly rambles that kept me sane.

While blogging "experts" often suggest cleaning up your archives, I've kept all those odd posts because they are where I came from. And all of those posts add up to 2400 rambling, poorly-written, well-written, stitchy, crazy, creative posts. Having my blogiversary and my 2400th post land on the same day couldn't have been better planned if I had tried!

I've decided it needed a spontaneous giveaway for you, my dear readers who I truly care about.

So, 10 lucky winners will each receive a $24.00 Wild Olive Etsy shop credit. All you need to do to enter the Rafflecopter giveaway is leave a comment. You can tell me how you found my blog, ask me a question you've been dying to know, or simply say hello. Just be sure to use the Rafflecopter entry form. (If you're in a blog reader or reading via email, you'll need to hop over to the actual blog post.)

a Rafflecopter giveaway

The giveaway will be open through next Monday, July 7th. Good luck, and thank you so much for being part of my little blog family!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thank you for the jazz hands! Sadly, I haven't finished a book in a while. But I keep picking them up, reading a bit, and then getting distracted by the next thing. Craft books fill my life most of the time! For an inspiration pick-me-up, I love looking at older craft books, and I find that giving myself some limits (for example a theme, or a particular method or material) will always get my creative juices flowing. And I'm still really enjoying EPP hexagons and catching some Netflix!

  161. Wow! Ten years! Congratulations Mollie. I was introduced to your patterns and blog by my sister. She was an accomplished stitcher and loved to sew quilts. My sister passed away unexpectedly in 2013, but her memory and handiwork will live forever in my family. Now when I embroider I think of her with every little stitch. She loved the smile on your illustrations, and so do I! Thank you for sharing your talent :)

  164. Congratulations! Ten years is no small feat. especially considering how amazing your blog has grown to be. I found you on Pinterest like many others and fell in love with many of your patterns. Although I am young, sewing is my hobby outside of school and with your help I decided to attempt embroidery. Your tutorials made everything so clear and easy. I send many congratulatory wishes as well as wishes of future success on your blog. Thank you for creating such amazing tutorials/patterns that are easy to follow and impossible to resist!

I believe I found your blog through a friend I met on Ravelry (an online knitting community). On her blog, Fairytaleknits, she featured a mug rug that she had made using your instructions that you had posted. So I have been following your blog ever since. :)

Hi there and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!! So excited for you. God has greatly blessed you. I first came across your blog thanks to craftgawker. It was a Bible quote, and the second I say it I thought "Wow! This is a talented, crafty, artistic lady...aaaaaannnnd she's a Christian! I always enjoy finding a crafting blog were the blogger is a Christian and she's not afraid to show it, and even better, she incorperates her faith in her crafty projects. LOVE that! So, let me say this THANK YOU for taking a stand, and for not being afraid to let others know you have put your faith in an everlasting, all-mighty, forgiving Savior. Thank you.
    In Christ,
    Ruthie H.
