a month of giving // gifts to try

Do you like giving gifts that you've made yourself? I do. It means so much to put time and love into a gift, and both you and recipient know that. Now is the time to be starting on handmade gifts, if you haven't already, and here are a few ideas to get you started!

Create a hand-stitched necklace with a kit from Hugs are Fun! There are a bunch of shapes to choose from, and extra blank pendants can be ordered from Beadeux. These wouldn't take too long to make, but would certainly be loved by lots of people on your gift list!

Are you a knitter? Danger Crafts has some of the sweetest patterns around! These dinos are just the start of what you'll find. And if sewing is more your thing, she has a few plush patterns for you too!

Pull & Put has...well, pulled & put together a very clever system of linking vinyl pieces to crete pencil cases, pouches, ornaments and more. You can buy kits or PDF patterns and I just know that these would be as fun to give as they are to make!

Claire of Somewhere...Beyond the Sea suggested making photo calendars for an easy gift. Love that! And for some DIY gifts with free tutorials, check out these ideas that I love:

Finally, I'd like to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who placed an order yesterday and early today. We made it to the big goal! That means that 3 people in Asia will receive an embroidery machine, which means that their lives will greatly improve as they make new items to sell. Not only that, but their families will feel the results, which makes for a whole lotta lives changed!

Thanks for being part of this amazing work that God is doing!
