review & giveaway: doodle stitching embroidery & beyond

Doodle Stitching Embroidery & Beyond

I'm very excited to be sharing Aimee Ray's latest book with you today! Doodle Stitching: Embroidery & Beyond is Aimee's third embroidery book, and it does not disappoint. This time around, she brings her delightful style to some different types of embroidery, which makes this the perfect resource to expand your stitching knowledge!

Doodle Stitching Embroidery & Beyond

Doodle Stitching Embroidery & Beyond

Embroidery & Beyond is broken up into chapters that focus on methods of embroidery like cross-stitch and decorative stitches, red work and crewel, cutwork and stumpwork and more. In addition to showing how these techniques are done, she shares a bit of background of each, creating a connection between the traditions of the past and our new future of embroidery.

Of course, what makes these stitching styles come to life are the projects, and there are over 20 to choose from!

That Babushka is probably my favorite thing in the entire book! It's so very Aimee Ray...and so very adorable!

I'm keeping this review short and sweet because this is simple. If you enjoy the basics of embroidery, you'll love learning more, and this is the book to do it with. It's a must have, and it's a bargain (even at full price).
