pattern: mitten pairs

A folksy mitten

If something is inspired by folk art, does that make it folksy or folky? Or neither? No matter. What's important is that I have some mitten patterns for you to stitch!

Like the mittens wallpapers, there are floral and polka dot pairs, plus the heart version I've stitched up. They're already facing both ways, which means you don't even need to flip them for transferring or for making matching pairs.

Look closely and you'll see that I have more mittens traced onto my fabric just waiting for thread. I have a project planned for these guys, which will be coming soon. If you want to get a head start, embroider these winter friends, making sure you leave at least 1/2" between them for trimming. I won't spoil the surprise, but they'll keep things toasty at your dinner table!

Oh, and throughout the month I'll be sharing the colors and combinations that I've chosen for my folky, folksy, folk-art creations!
