lovely gifts from christmas

Untitled

January 4th and this already feels late. Oh well. I've been taking a few days here and there to enjoy the days, which means a bit of a blog break. Which means Christmas gifts on January 4th.

I was blessed with lovely things and such thoughtfulness that I can't say thanks enough! In addition to the many wonderful wishes in the blog and special gifts in the mail and under the tree, his year even included receiving a Christmas card from my puppy pal Leela! Here's a peek at a few of the things that came my way:

There were some great books, both perfect for me. I had recently considered ordering the Kitchen Linens Book, which is full of pretty linens to look at, plus some patterns. And my dear sister found me a Jim Hensen book I had never seen until I opened it! Imagination Illustrated is a delight to look through.

Very thoughtful Paula sent me some gift cards...and I was practically as excited about the drawing on the envelope as I was about the contents! It's the Christmas Unicorn!

Painting projects (with accurate color matching) are in my future now that I have this set of Pantone paints! My dad is so good at choosing gifts for me!

And then we come to a bundle of handmade loveliness from Susi and Jamie (and Susi's mom!) in Germany. I'm still stunned and thrilled! In addition to the goodies in the two pics above, Susi's mom knit the socks at the top of this post!

Oh boy. Thank you so much to all my wonderful friends and family. Not just for the gifts, but for being such dear people in my life.
