Carol of the Bells Embroidery Pattern

Are you able to sing along with Carol of the Bells? Neither can I. But I sure can hum and ding-a-ling the tune! In fact, the only lyric that I can really remember at this moment is the one in today's pattern. Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas! Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas!

Yep. That works.

Thanks to Wendy for stitching this pattern for the post! She even made it into a pillow, which is a really nice idea that would make a really nice gift, don't you think? Yes, I do. Christmas is getting close, but there's still plenty of time for making.

And just as a reminder, most of the patterns this month are free for you to use on handmade commercial items, so long as you credit me for the pattern. (See each PDF for details.) Merry Christmas crafty sellers!

this is so cute! just fyi, i can't pin any of your images as they are all marked private on flickr. I'd assume you'd done this on purpose, but you have a pin it button on your site so I figured it was just an oversight that maybe you weren't aware of. thanks so much for providing the free patterns!!

  4. Thanks Mollie! It was a fun one to stitch. Be prepared for hearing the song repeatedly in your head while stitching ;)

  9. Actually I was in an accapella group my Junior and Senior years in high school. And even though I hate to admit that this was the early 70's it was. We sang The Carol Of The Bells both years. We were completely scrambled up for it, being only 5 voices for each range and on this song our director mixed us up so we weren't next to a fellow voice. It was grand. Especially at the end when the sopranos, altos and tenors would sing, Ding Dong Ding Dong and then the Bass' would end with that LOOOWWW BOMM. You have brought memories back to me tonight dear Molly. I haven't lived near my home town for well over 30 years and I have kept up with no one. Tonight you took me back from being a grandmother to a teenager and I was performing again. Not only could I remember every word but I could hear every part sung by my old friends all around me also.
