The Christmas items are out at IKEA! While perusing, I found a couple of items that would be perfect for projects. Future projects. Like, December and January projects.

But the thing is, if I share them with you then, you might not be able to get these lovely linens that I've found and plan to use. So, I thought that you might want to pick these up while you can!

This snowflake table runner is going to be a part of my December series (I don't want to give too much away, but you'll probably be humming along with all of the posts!). Of course, there will be other ways to make what I'll be making, but this item goes a long way in getting it started! (IKEA item #502.099.45)

Sometimes my favorite thing about IKEA is the simplicity. With the Christmas items, they have gingham dish towels, and they are perfect for something I have in mind in the new year. (Yes, I'm thinking about 2013 already!) My mom got several for our kitchen, and I got one. But I might steal, er...borrow, a few more for this project. (IKEA item #802.240.20)

So...rush out to your local IKEA (they didn't ask me to say that, by the way) and pick up an item or two! Then get ready for some fun stitching in the coming months!

  1. Oooh, I love these prints! I so wish I had an IKEA nearby! (although I would probably go broke if that was the case)

  5. Your IKEA must be celebrating Christmas early! I happened to be at my local IKEA this very same day, and didn't spy any Christmas treasures :/ At least now I have a reason to go back again (as if I needed a reason! :P)!

  7. I have two quick questions. Is the table runner going to be so cute that I will want to make two, or more? (I am sure I know the answer to that!) The second one, does it have to be red and is it for the kitchen? Thanks.

    1. The runner isn't done yet, so I can't guarantee its cuteness, but I'm aiming for really cute! The reason that I chose these towels is because of their gingham check and sturdy, stitchable fabric. Red isn't necessary, but it's the only color I found. It does happen to match our kitchen...which is a bonus!

    2. Thank you. I will see what I can come up with for my kitchen and go for the red for a super cute couple I know with those colors as a gift.
