we're praying

Sundays on Wild Olive are a point of prayer. Please pause, leave a prayer request, and pray with us.

I have a few thanksgivings, plus a request today. First, my sister has been offered a spot doing her teaching practicum at the school she was really hoping for! Yes!

Also, my grandpa had unexpected surgery on Thursday night. We are so thankful for how it turned out and for how God prepared the way to get there. Please pray that he continues to have a good recovery.

Thank you for praying together for each other. Sundays are a blessing, and you help make it that.

PS: I managed to post this on Saturday...but I suppose it's never too early to start praying, right?

Praying for all of the above and of course for you Mollie. A few weeks again I was giving thanks that my son had finally found a job, but he has chosen to quit that job (this was a surprise to me because he has always been a very responsible guy), but am sending a prayer request for him to find another one since he has a family to take care of.

I hope all of you have a very blessed week and thanks for praying. I know God is happy to see us do this each week.

    1. On my way to church this morning, I was thinking about God as provider. Jehovah-jireh.

It may seem strange for your son to leave this new job (maybe even to him!), but God is going to provide His best according to His plan. I know this is true, because it's part of who He is!

Prayers that God's provision will become very clear very soon!

  7. Please pray that my husband's eye heals after cataract surgery that got complicated as he was not sedated well ... that the pressure returns to normal and he can see with the eye, as after two months it isn't too good yet. This has stopped him from working driving a truck so really upsetting to him and our budget. We will survive, but he is really upset and just an old baby Christian yet, if you know what I mean.

  9. Thank you everyone who prayed, it must have worked because this afternoon my husband broke down and admitted that while our living situation is indeed stressing him out, it is truly his own fault for not spending enough time in God's word. We are both already feeling trmendously better. Thank you again. My prayers go out to all of you.
