Things to Do with Embroidery

A few years ago, I did a series of sorts called "Things to Do with Embroidery". The idea was to come up with some new and fun ways to use your little embroidered pieces...things beyond the typical wall hangings and cushions. They've gotten a little buried, and some of the photos aren't the best, but the ideas are some of my favorites.

All of the posts from the series are tagged, and since then, I've added other posts "unofficially" to the series. Find them all here. And you can find my most favorites (pictured above) below.

What kinds of things do you like to do with your embroidery?

  1. I love the headband idea and the pencil topper is too cute! As for my own, I'm still boring and hang it or make a pillow of it.

  6. I need to get on making some finger puppets!

I have put embroidery on a little sleeve for my reading glasses and for someone's iPad. I also made a catnip toy once, knowing it probably wouldn't survive long.
