a whole lotta stitching going on...

On The Midway

On Friday, I shared this with you when it was just transferred to the fabric, but now it's all done! This is from a new set of carnival themed patterns called "On the Midway." I'm having a hard time choosing a favorite, which sounds terribly full of myself, I think. But...carnival is just too cute. You know, when you look past the ick factor.

I've started another embroidery for another set of new patterns, but first...check out this hoop.

I've shown it before, just after I got it, and it's what you see above too. This is a vintage hoop, and I've never seen one like it before. Usually, I don't stitch in vintage hoops because, while I like the idea of it, they just don't hold things as well. The fabric really slips. Not so with this one! It holds things very tight, and I love it. If you find this type, get one. If you find a few, let me know.

And here's the next one. It's a jar of pickles! I'll let you guess what else will be in this set. Your only hint is that it reminds me of someplace that my grandpa and I used to visit every summer...

State Fair?? I am totally guessing here!! I could have said corn dog, then you don't GO to a corn dog every Summer!

  3. Miss Paula, you get a blue ribbon! Technically, it's County Fair (because the county fair is where I went with grandpa), but you got it right. Who would've thought that a jar of pickles could tell so much!
